The “World Class Tests” Elite Competition will be held on March 21, 2026 (13:00–16:30) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The assessment was conceptualized by an educational institution in London, UK, and is specially designed for high-potential students aged 8–14. Through mathematics and problem-solving questions, it encourages students to engage in creative thinking, logical reasoning, and clear expression.

Through this event, we aim to promote an educational philosophy centered on problem-solving and critical thinking within the local community. Particularly in the age of artificial intelligence, problem-solving ability has become a fundamental and essential competency:

• To cultivate students’ cognitive flexibility and innovative thinking when facing new situations, enabling them to evaluate information effectively and make sound decisions;
• To identify and support students who demonstrate exceptional thinking abilities in non-traditional examination settings;
• To strengthen students’ ability to clearly articulate their problem-solving processes and reasoning steps through written explanations and diagrams—an essential skill for collaborating with AI, validating AI-generated results, and enhancing independent learning.

We sincerely thank CRETE@CUHK (Centre for Realisation of Engineering and Technology Education) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong for their support in providing the venue and assistance, allowing the event to be conducted in a professional educational environment. We hope this competition will inspire participating students and foster collaboration among schools, parents, and educational institutions to promote more comprehensive thinking education beyond the classroom.
